A painful birth hit the antelope family when the newborn was rushed and taken away by a hyena

Photographer Gerlach Read unintentionally overheard hyena howls while touring the Masai Mara National Park in southern Kenya with some pals. He immediately pulled out his camera and caught a unique instance in the wild.

It occurs specifically in the scenario where the hyena catches the baby antelope but leaves it unharmed.

The hyena astonished the German photographer by not devouring the infant antelope, he claimed. Because hyenas typically “eat” all of the prey they catch right away.

Photographer Gerlach Read finally realized why the hyenas did not kill their meal after tracking the pack of hyenas.

It does this because it wants to teach its young how to hunt by bringing the newborn antelope back to the cave.
