The photos were taken by a tourist while visiting a reserve in South Africa, when two wildebeest mother and daughter were engrossed in drinking water by a lake. The mother wildebeest unfortunately fell into the crocodile’s sights.
With just a single bite, the predator easily captures the prey. Despite fighting fiercely, the wildebeest still could not escape the sharp teeth of the crocodile.
Then, the crocodile drags the prey into the lagoon to drown it. However, the wildebeest refused to give up, causing the crocodile to face many difficulties.
Neil Goodes, who recorded this impressive moment, said the fight between the crocodile and wildebeest lasted more than an hour.
The fight caught the attention of a nearby hippo, and it quickly joined the fray.
At first, eyewitnesses thought the hippo would attack the crocodile, saving the wildebeest from dying. However, the unexpected happened when it helped the giant “reptile” knock down its prey.
In the end, the wildebeest had no chance to escape and was forced to die.
