Two lionesses sᴛᴀʀᴛʟᴇd two blesboks that were running in their direction, which led to the remarkable takedown. A scared blesbok attempted to flee by leaping several meters off the ridge, but the ravenous female intercepted him in midair.

The caught animal was quickly devoured by the ferocious predators while the other blesbok was left to make a lucky escape. Just a few steps from her tour bus, tour guide Joné Fick, 28, captured the unbelievable moment on camera.

In the Sᴏᴜᴛʜ Aғʀɪᴄᴀn Shamwari Game Reserve, the group had been observing the two lionesses perched on the ridge. The two blesbok were sprinting up the slope towards them when the lionesses suddenly stood up and charged them.

The blesbok made the decision to choose the last remaining course of action, leaping toward the road and plummeting four meters to the ground. The second lioness leapt spectacularly in the direction of the blesbok, seized it in midair, and then slammed it down on the road next to their car. Joné Fick said that she never watched such a sighting; being present at that appropriate moment was pure luck.

The animals continued to ғɪɢʜᴛ after being knocked hard to the ground before the two lionesses defeated the Sᴏᴜᴛʜ Aғʀɪᴄᴀn antelope.

Joné Fick was certain that the lioness and blesbok would ʜɪᴛ the car because they were so ᴄʟᴏsᴇ to them when they fell to the ground next to them. They were all whispering expressions of sʜᴏᴄᴋ, and some people were simply gazing at the spectacle, speechless. The lions dragged the defeated blesbok back to the top of the ridge where they feasted on their hard-earned meal.
