While visiting the Maasai Mara animal sanctuary in Kenya, photographer Marc Mol happened to capture an extremely devastating moment in the wild. That is the scene of the hyenas “mutilating” the zebra.
According to Marc Mol, when he saw this scene, he and his friends could not stand it and were forced to leave. Because, it was too much for everyone to bear to see the zebra in pain watching the hyenas tear its flesh to pieces.
In the Mara River in Masai Mara National Park, Kenya, every year there is a great event called the Great Migration of herbivores. In which zebra and antelope will have to cross the river of death full of crocodiles to find the ‘promised land’.
A zebra crossing the river was attacked by a herd of crocodiles, it was bitten by the sharp teeth of the enemy, revealing both flesh and tendons inside. With this serious wound, the horse could hardly survive before the hungry crocodiles.
Crocodiles are one of the most powerful carnivores in the animal kingdom (5,000 pounds per square inch or 5,000 psi), a single snap of an alligator is capable of crushing bones. Crocodiles cannot tear their own prey, so they often twist to be able to eat large prey.
