In the Depths of Danger: Seal’s Gritty Fight for Life in a Sudden Shark Attack

This is something that can rarely be recorded by humans. This scene was captured by photographer William Buchheit (41 years old) off the coast of South Africa.

Large sharks often “loam” in this area to feed, their special favorite prey is seals because the meat contains a lot of nutrition and fat.

While on his way to Seal Island in False Bay, William suddenly encountered a rare case when an adult seal, weighing about 25-35kg, was fiercely attacked. The hunter this time was not too strange, it was a large shark.

The stunts at high speed and then biting the victim with a large, jagged mouth full of sharp teeth seem to be the trademark of sharks.

But thought the seal would “go” right after, but no, it used all its strength to counterattack the enemy.

Although standing from a distance, William was still able to capture the moment when the seal was fiercely biting the mouth of the enemy in the hope of finding a way to live.

According to photographer William, the seal fought the shark more than 20 times.

However, until the last minute, because of exhaustion, the seal still became food for the enemy. At least, it did the best it could and caused a lot of trouble for the shark.
