Guardian of the Savanna: Buffalo’s Noble Rescue of Baby Elephant from Lion Attack

The video was recorded in Kruger National Park, South Africa, This is the brave moment of a herd of buffalo running in to save a helpless baby elephant being defeated by proud hungry lions!

When we moved to this area, we discovered lions surrounding a baby elephant and there were wild buffaloes nearby eating grass.

What surprised us was a buffalo rushing to the lions to rescue the baby elephant. At first, there was only one buffalo, the lions still calmly tortured their prey, but a few seconds later, the whole herd of buffalo rushed to shield the lions and had to run away.

With the help of the buffalo herd this time the baby elephant escaped the clutches of the hungry lions.
