This is the incredible moment a playful Golden Retriever caught a catfish in its jaws and dragged it from the depths of a lake.
The footage, filmed in Saltillo, Mississippi, captured Rani the dog as she stood knee-deep in water.
The dog stood motionless as he watched the catfish gradually approach his position and he was waiting for the right time to attack.
The catfish are having to come to the surface to find food as well as to breathe oxygen from the air. A large catfish had come into view and was well positioned to attack.
The dog quickly made an attack and captured the catfish with a direct bite to the head. The fish in the water proved to be extremely healthy and the dog had some difficulty at first but managed to bring the fish to shore.
A giant catfish was caught, the dog seemed to succeed when the catfish lay motionless and made the mistake of freeing the catfish on the grass.
The fish quickly struggled and searched for a way back to the river. The dog at that time was completely helpless and did not know what to do to stop the catfish.
In the end it was just a joke of the dog and the catfish also escaped.
