Safari tourist Graham Bolnois and his wife Jenny Farley filmed the epic battle in Kenya’s Maasai Mara reserve.

The video, published by the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, shows a lioness stalking a zebra near a river before the donkey crosses the water on its paw, unaware of the danger to it.

When the donkey approached the lioness, she jumped towards her from hiding behind a grassy hill.

When the lion tried to grab the zebra’s claws, it kicked, it jumped into the water, then escaped and thwarted the lioness’s hunting efforts.

In this hunt the lion has failed, fortunately for the zebra, it has escaped the death before its eyes.
