Photographer Wayne captured a fascinating moment about the bait war between wild animals that took place in South Africa’s Kruger National Park. The brief film was less than five minutes long, but it received millions of views on social networking sites.
Photographer Wayne claims that the moment the tour group and he left the camp, they heard frantic noises. When they noticed a fierce conflict was occurring, they hurried to the riverfront region. The leopard had just killed an antelope, but additional “foreign” adversaries showed up before it could enjoy its catch.
“A wild dog followed the leopard as it tried to rip its victim away. The leopard initially had the advantage in the chase, but the dog was able to rally the troops.
There are 10 puppies and 11 adults in the wild dog herd. In order to compete with one another, they leave their prey on the ground. The antelope, which was still alive at the moment, seized the chance to escape but was tackled by the wild dogs, according to Wagne.
The leopard caught antelope but “did not get a piece.” He was forced to watch while the wild dogs consumed their dinner. They growl continuously, intimidating the adversary.
However, the dogs didn’t eat their supper for very long. Because two hyenas who were hungry arrived at the “scene” in an instant following that. Then they ate their prey after pushing the dogs aside. The third hyena quickly followed with “participation.”
When the dogs noticed this, they attempted to rush in and seize the leftover meat but were unsuccessful. In a matter of minutes, the hyenas had finished eating the antelope. They occasionally put down their food to growl at the dogs.
The leopard was keeping an eye on the hyenas from a distance to see if they could find any more meat, but ultimately there was none left for it.
