Buffaloes are always delicious food for lions but in some cases lions have paid too much for the meal and died at the feet of the most ferocious buffalo.
The lions were in the process of hunting a large male buffalo and captured it in a waterhole. The buffalo is trying to defend in the water and it is a challenge to the lion.
A male lion accepts the challenge and rushes down to fight the buffalo. But the game quickly changed, the buffalo actively counterattacked and drowned the lion.
The buffalo hangs the lion on its horn and then knocks it up to create the most dangerous wounds. The lion was barely able to run away and was buried in the mud by the buffalo.
A bad day has come for the lion, not this buffalo, the other lions can only watch and fear.
